Except that Apostasy's range is ****ing broken. You can be on the other side of the map casting it at the wars will still benefit from it. I'm sure Leteci is with me on this one since I remember reading numerous rants from him about how broken apostasy is.

But then half of your already small healing is gone, your warriors will be getting killed by any stray damage on the altar, and on top your PD is an extremely easy target, he has no lines to hide behind, he has no defense, he couldn't even use distortion or similar because having to use PD would have disabled his skills.
you are also forgetting that spell breaker on a decent team will be buried under a load of enchantments, including guardian and will be having more applied as fast as possible. There would also be wards on the altar. You need to get down that Spell breaker in enough time to stop claim resource.
You really think that it is a foolproof plan vs a good team?

IWAY didn't hold via healing, so losing a small bit of its already small healing isn't the end of the world. Sure things will drop faster, but remind me again, why does every character in IWAY take a res sig? oh yea.....
Claim Resource is a 5 second cast so in some cases yes, it can be taken down. But yes, you're right. That is one way to take down an IWAY in halls. I never said IWAY was a foolproof holding build. I just said it can hold. And thats what I proved.
Btw, if you find any build that can hold foolproof (excluding spirit spam), let me know....

You sig him up. Sig = 3 sec cast. Claim Resource = 5 second cast. Or you use one of your many other interrupters. If those interrupters fail then its game.
Anyways, I think my points been made. If you have to go through all that just to knock off IWAY, it obviously does have some holding power. The way Tiyuri was posting, he made it out like anyone and their grandma can knock IWAY out of halls and only idiots lose to it. Which isn't the case. My point has been proven.
I think I'm done posting in this topic. If you want post picky stuff like "what if this, this, this, this, and this? how can you guys hold off against it?". Answer is we probably can't Like I said IWAY isn't a foolproof holding build and I don't think their are any foolproof holding builds other than spirit spamming.... Points been proven. Arguments done. Topic close?

Here's the difference.
If you are really really good, and you are running iway.
And I'm really really good, and I'm running something else.
You will not hold.
Your build only holds if the opposing teams are at a considerably lower skill level than you. And the skill level in guildwars in general has never been that high. So of course you held some. But you pretty much auto lose if a good team steps in, because you're at such a disadvantage.

Well I guess that means I'm at a considerably higher skill level than many well respected, famous HAers. But I guess that works for me, not going to argue with that lol

Well, they're terrible. But they're just terrible at forms of gameplay another part of the community holds in a higher regard. I've gvg'd against Consume Chicken, and I could stop every spike of theirs with blinding flash. Does that mean that they're bad at the game, or just bad at GvG?

Well, sir, maybe since they ACTUALLY play HA more then once a month, they lose a couple games. On the other hand, you must lose only 1/10 of your matches. Too bad you usually only play 5 at a time.

I don't think that necesarily means they are bad, you just had a counter to their build and were able to use it effectively.

Right, it's a rhetorical question. What I'm saying is that just because a team telegraphs their spikes in GvG doesn't mean they're a bad guild, as their HA track record shows. So it's therefore unfair for Tiyuri say that most "elite" ha players are bad at the game.

I don't think CC is anything better in HA either.
Also, I agree on Yunas that OoA is broken regarding it's range and Tucks, if it's true that half of the healing is gone when OoA necro is so far back why do you keep dying? Shouldn't you just spike the warriors? I don't think it's that easy to spike a class with highest armor in the game + IWAY activated.
About EoE... 2 weeks before the nerf I posted the reason why it should be nerfed so I'll repeat it again. EoE was broken, it had chain effect. If a member from your group was in range of EoE and you weren't, but you were in the range of him you'd get hit by it as well. Since that didn't write in the EoE skill description it meant that the skill is broken. That's why it needed to be nerfed and not because people were too stupid to kill. If people still got edgebombed even after it was nerfed than they're just bad.

What?
I play less than some people, what's your point? What has that got to do with their skill level?

I've played with some of the so called elite players and the level of understanding and ability amongst some of them is so low its incredible, these are players who've played one role their entire guildwars career and are incapable of doing anything else. I.e. if you nerf my build you nerf my ability to play the game.
I'd suggest that's being a bad player.

That's how it used to work, yes. They fixed it a while ago when they made the change that EoE only dealt damage to targets below 90%. But yes, Leteci is 100% correct: that's how EoE used to work.

If that is so, maybe IWAY didnt "hold" with EoE bomb then.
and i clearly remember facing an EoE bomb in Underworld and what leteci is saying is bs. yes it chains but it only affect people under EoE. he must be hallucinatin or something.
